For the complete Nikon Coolpix S9100 review, go to www.infosyncworld.com Not much has changed since our visit last Fall with the Coolpix S8100, and that’s because Nikon’s follow-up to the S8000 was a significant improvement. It’s now edging along the crest of Spring and the Nikon Coolpix S9100 has already been unleashed to replace the S8100, which still seems wet behind the ears. Why is this? Canon didn’t follow up with a PowerShot SD4500 IS replacement yet. Further perplexing is the fact that Nikon really didn’t improve upon much with the Coolpix S9100, save a larger zoom, minor design tweaks, image effects, and some handy additional continuous shooting modes. The sensor, controls, interface, and form factor have all remained unmolested, so what gives? In our eyes, the new Nikon Coolpix S9100 will suit those who wanted a faster camera with a larger zoom out of the Coolpix S8100. Is the S9100 worth the extra 30 bucks over the S8100? Let’s dust off the magnifying glass, gumshoes.

Answer this question please. Can you make a video on how to import pictures from ur Nikon Coolpix S80 camera ? When i plug in the coords , nothing pops up.
@josietangthai Well with any camera it takes some time to focus, the Nikon’s focus time was short but rapidly trying to take pics and not verifying the focus is ready may cause softness or blur. Hope this helps!
Can you please tell me if it can take quick snap shots clearly? Or does it take it time focusing before it takes the pic? Thanks

Hi TekBeatTV, I am looking for a camera that captures ok pictures from movement (specifically equine photography). Would this be a good camera for capturing movement? I am hoping that the cost won’t exceed over $250. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

HOW MUCH IS THIS WORTH
@trashytuck Odd, syncing issues can be problems with the drivers or the device itself. Your best bet is to try and sync with a different computer. If you experience the same issues, most likely the camera itself. Hope this helps!

@ElMOLOVABLE Hmmm I would try to reformat the SD card (make sure you transfer any photos first), if that does not work, I would say one of two things the reading element of the camera is broken or if you cannot transfer the photos off the card the card may be corrupt. Hope this helps!
I need help !
Whenever I view my pictures on my S80 it’s fine at first then when I get to a certain picture it turns black then on the screen it says ” This card cannot be read ” & it has a little red exclamation mark on the left top corner ! I don’t know what to do ! & the memory card isn’t locked I checked and tried to do everything ! Please help !

@esj4373 I have the Nikon s9100 and all indoor pictures are blurry. i am selling it and getting an SLR
stay away from these series cameras,there are issues with many, just purchased a Sony DSC-HX7V from cruchfield for 229.99 (no tax / no s&h) very well made & best p&s camera i ever purchased,puts nikon to shame,consider the HX7V or HX9V or WX9 if you need less features,good luck to all and post feedback here if you buy SONY !
@esj4373:: I bought a NIKON 6100 and it was horrible. Pics were blurry and after a week, the shutter got stuck, which was many of the same problems when I read the reviews. Unfortunately, I read the reviews after I purchased it. I ended up returning it to the store and purchased a Canon Powershot 230HS.. Very happy with the Canon.
So – which is better, s9100 or s8100??
my advice is get the sony HX9V or HX7V – to many issues/problems with the nikon S9100 and appears nikon knows there are issues but does nothing,perhaps there is a defect with this camera based on the high number of complaints,good luck.

If you want to go for 300 plus dollars the SONY HX9V is the one to buy over the nikon S9100 see the problems with the S9100 on all the forums or amazon reviews
was deceiding on these 2 myself but just purchased the Canon 310 HS for 229.99 at best buy,they are the only ones who sell this model in black,for the money this 310 HS is hard to beat ! as for the nikon S 9100 i have been reading way to many reports of issues with the camera many of which are a freezing issue where the camera stops operating and all the camera reads is error,don`t expect nikon to come forward and state thus flaw,read the blogs and forums on the net and see these complaints

Sony HX9V or Nikon S9100. Both are very good cameras. But which is the better one. I think the Sony HX9V , but i am not sure. May the Nikon is better but i do not know??? Anyone can help me to decide?

@MrCasti1995 According to the users manual, the only difference is the bitrate. 1080p* has a movie bitrate of 14mbps while the standard 1080p is 12mbps.

@infosyncvideos in my opinion the Nikon S8100 just really suck ass in video and image quality,the colors were mostly over saturated,the exposure was all too white on the pics,video was very grainy.and i bet the this S9100 still has the problem of focusing noise when recording.Nikon is the worst brand i ever had and thats why i switched to Canon
I intended to buy this cam but if you search on the internet you’ll see reviews of lots of people who own this cam but it seems like the camera freezes after 2 months of use so I think I could better search for another cam.
